One thing I forgot to mention in my most recent post is that Dad is on TPN (Total parenteral nutrition), valium, and a pain patch (Fentanyl). This is all he is on currently.
Have you heard of the "Caring Bridge" website? A friend of mine who was hospitalized with a brain aneurysm, her family kept up this website through this site and was able to e-mail everyone daily on her condition and then we could post responses - she was also able to read everyone's e-mails. Seemed like a very easy way to keep everyone informed plus give us a way to express our concerns or get answers to questions about her condition. You might want to check it out. Thank you for the information about your Dad. Please let him know that we are all praying for him.
Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't see how that site is different from regular blogging and e-mailing. Plus, I'm going to e-mail you all directly every day from now on. I'll still update the blog, but focus more on direct e-mail, so check your e-mail for updates.

ReplyDeleteYes, he is on a J-Tube (Jejunostomy Tube) which bypasses the stomach and feeds directly into the intestines.
